In an unmistakable about-face — and a victory for common sense — Windows 10 will no longer automatically take control of your computer, and flip the reset switch, at the worst moments imaginable.

Mind you, Microsoft will still push updates, and it won’t necessarily be easy to completely turn them off.
But this spring, you — and only you — will get to decide when Windows 10 can update your computer.

Do you think your Windows 10 computer needs updates? Type Windows updates in your finder and click updates and let your system update. Most systems update on their own, but if you are concerned about updates not working correctly, you can monitor the process there.
