Two Factor Authentication

The biggest “bang for your buck” in security is Two Factor Authentication. You ABSOLUTELY need two factor authentication on every email account that is tied to money or health (banking, credit cards, mortgage, health care etc.) as well as any account with a credit card on it or that might be sensitive to you. This also includes software wallets. Scammers are stealing software licenses now.
If you have a SPECTRUM/TIME WARNER/RoadRunner EMAIL ACCOUNT THEY DON’T OFFER THIS SECURITY and you need to leave them ASAP.
If you don’t know if you have setup two factor authentication – YOU DIDN’T. If you have it, you know.
Why should you do this? Most password reset processes are automatic. You click a link that says you forgot your password, they send a link to your email for you to reset the account. If I gain access to that email, then I can reset ALL OF YOUR PASSWORDS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD and also LOCK YOU OUT of your email at the same time.

Sometimes the scammers send a copy of all your email to Artificial Intelligence to scan for major purchases, loan documents, and other information they can exploit.

We have people walk in WEEKLY who have been scammed. The unofficial total of our customers who have been scammed in the last 30 days is probably about $12,000.00. One was for $5,000.00.
In summary, If your email ends in ec.rr.com and is connected to bank accounts and such – you are playing an extremely dangerous game.
If you acquired your email account from AOL or Yahoo a million years ago and have no idea what your password is or your recovery options on your account – you are playing an extremely dangerous game.
Now is the time to get straight and secure your accounts and thereby your assets. Let’s not wait until it’s too late, I hate it when you all cry.
