Do you want to donate your old desktop or laptop computer to someone in need? We can help with that!
As part of our commitment to Wilmington, NC, we work with area non-profits to re-purpose equipment they may need. The following items, in good working order, are a candidate for this program:
. Windows 8 computers
. Windows 10 computers
Computers must be in good working order. We can not accept broken screens, broken hinges and the like for this program.
What we do is RELOAD the computer with a fresh install of the operating system originally installed on the computer. (must be Windows 8 or 10) This reload process removes all of the previous customer’s data and also makes it unreadable. This process normally takes 1.5 hours and has a value of $132.00. We do this free of charge for the non-profits. Then they, using resources available to them, can add additional software and put the equipment into service.
We do NOT ACCEPT printers of any kind in any condition. We have no outlet for printers. We do not accept machines that are Vista, XP or older Operating System as these machines are past their prime and can not be upgraded to the level necessary for non-profits.
Older desktops and laptops have to be recycled correctly.
